[Greyscale] Etheral Deer

Oh my, am I proud of this. I was feeling down art-wise (feelings of 'I suck' with art-block thrown in the mix) and had decided that I needed practice to get better. So what better then to use a design which I entered into a mini contest (which wasn't picked) refurbish it and practice an animal I've never drawn.

I wasn't expecting it to actually turn out good. I mean even a few minutes before I was thinking it was mediocre at best and then I placed the shadow layer, and good god.... it actually made it look like the deer belongs in the picture <:'D Yay!
It went from 'meh' to 'go, go into my portfolio you magnificent being known as artwork which came out looking good'

Now there is some questionable anatomy but when have I ever drawn anything with perfect anatomy? Least it doesn't detract unless you look real close~
